1) You were the 2015 Cat 4 MABRA Women’s Series champion and 3rd in the BAR. How does it feel to have such a successful season?
Feels awesome to have accomplished so much this season. I owe it all to the team, winter training rides, and some hard work at the Hains Point noon rides.
I had no idea I was leading the series until the end of the season. The goal going into this year was simple – don’t get dropped.
As training progressed throughout the season, I got faster and stronger. This allowed me to be more competitive in races
Racing three times at Dawg Days and helping teammate win the 3/4 race.
Never give up, pedal as hard as you can to the end, and have fun.
Racing in the open field and finishing a tough race. I had a few DNFs early in the season but was able to overcome them by training hard and better prepared mentally.
I started at shop rides, met some cool bike racers, and signed up for my first race.
Um…next year? I can finally race Masters 35+!
I want to race Hilly Billy Roubaix next year. Also would like to cycle from east to west coast someday.
I have way too many pair of socks but my favorite is a set of three mismatch LAX airport socks made by @TheAthletic.
